Where/When does Google show this listing?

When consumers search for your business or local products and services that are similar to what you offer. Your Google My Business listing will show up on the right side of desktop searches and on mobile, a tap on the map or on a search results page will pull up your listing. Your business listing could even show up as part of Google’s local search results.

Why is it important to claim my listing?

Your customers go to Google everyday to search for local businesses offering services and products like yours. If you don’t claim your listing, you’ll be missing out on a lot of foot traffic or you risk a possible unauthorized person claiming it first. Google wants to see verified, up-to-date information that gives consumers the information they’re looking for when they search for your business. Is your name correct? Are your hours accurate? Are you managing your reviews?

To rank locally, you need to keep your business information up to date.

What information can I control?

You’ll also be able to add more business details, including photos, holiday hours and responses to your Google reviews.
